I am a freelance screen printer and illustrator based in Manchester. I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in June 2007. I recently went back to Trent to teach screen print lessons to the current students teaching them the process and benefits that screen printing can have in their work. Screen printing is a very technical process one that has taken me over a year to get right and a trade that is not seen or used as much as it should. Whist at University i carried out my work experience with an eco-friendly screen print company based in Nottingham called 'I Dress Myself' they taught me how it was important to be eco conscious using re-cycled paper and water based inks. I am still in contact with Peter & Hannah Conway, founders of the company and have carried out work that is on sale on their new web site. Through the Y.C.N and I Dress Myself, Howies contacted me to produce illustration work for the front cover of their new catalogue and also editorial work to feature inside it. I am currently working closely on projects with Howies and hope to produce more exciting work with them. In February 2008 i was lucky enough to start work on the new Harry Potter film 'The Half Blood Prince'. I worked in the graphics department creating labels and products to be used on set. Everything was hand made and produced on site at the studios. I am unable to put this work onto my web site until after the release date. Watch this space for Harry Potter related goodies.
